Decatur, Texas – National Roper’s Supply [NRS], headquartered in Decatur, Texas, is excited to announce the opening of its newest location in Wickenburg, Arizona. As a major hub for team roping and horse enthusiasts, Wickenburg is a logical fit for the family-owned and-operated tack, apparel and feed store.

“I am very excited about NRS going to Wickenburg,” said David Isham, NRS Owner/CEO. “From a local perspective, it’s a fantastic town with a long heritage of loving all things western.”

With roots deep in the roping and western industries, all NRS locations carry the best in western tack and apparel. The team at NRS has big plans for the new location and are excited to supply locals and visitors with everything they need to properly outfit their lifestyle.

“We [NRS] have always prided ourselves on being the cowboy or cowgirl’s hub for all things western,” said Jason Brooks, Director of Purchasing. “There is no place more core or relevant to our team roping customers than Wickenburg, Arizona. It’s where many ropers spend six to seven months out of every year. We are excited for an opportunity to be where ‘our people’ are.”

Of course, all of this would not have been possible had it not been for the company’s acquisition of Double D Western World. Since opening its doors 30 years ago, Double D Western World has diligently served the Wickenburg area.

“We’ve spent the last three decades pouring our hearts into our business, establishing relationships and enjoying the strong sense of community that comes with it,” said Berva Botts, Double D Western World Owner.

NRS hopes to carry on this same tradition of community involvement and exceptional customer service.

“Creed and Berva Botts have been incredible to work with. They have spent years building a great business and serving the residents of Wickenburg and all the ropers who show up in the winter,” said Isham. “NRS is honored that they chose us to take over their business for the next few decades.”

NRS plans to operate a retail store, feed store and pro shops in Wickenburg. Many of the same great brands the company carries in stores and online will also be available to Wickenburg.

“Visitors to NRS Wickenburg will now have access to all the great products they have been seeing in the NRS catalog from the top manufacturers in the country,” said Isham. “The Wickenburg location will be working initially to have a broader selection of western footwear and clothing for the whole family as well as everything for the active horseman and his horse.”

Since founding National Roper’s Supply in 1989, Isham has kept quality and customer service at the core of the company’s values. Today, the NRS brand has grown to feature a trailer dealership, feed store, arena and event venue, vacation-styled guest ranch and retail stores in Weatherford, Texas, Granbury, Texas, Decatur, Texas and now Wickenburg, Arizona.

NRS is also a proud supporter of the roping community. On top of being the roper’s one-stop-shop for all tack and competition needs, NRS also sponsors roping events throughout the year and serves as the official catalog of the USTRC and WSTR. Just as the store’s slogan suggests, “if it’s right for roping, it’s right here.”

Prior to making the decision to retire, the husband – wife duo of Creed and Berva Botts owned and operated Double D Western World for 30-years. They supplied the Wickenburg area with all tack, apparel and western furniture-related needs.

“We hope all the folks of Wickenburg will remember how much we’ve appreciated their business,” said Botts. “We know that the town of Wickenburg will appreciate another family-owned and-operated company moving in.”

As another 30-year company, NRS is proud to be able to continue their legacy of quality and care.
