Rope Like A Girl Team Roping and Breakaway Spring Break Camp

Lari Dee Guy and guest instructors Annette Stahl and Hope Thompson held the annual Rope Like a Girl clinic April 19 – 22, 2018 at the NRS Event Center in Decatur, Texas.

The four day clinic featured in depth teaching on team roping and breakaway roping. There were five team ropers and 10 breakaway ropers that attended this year’s event. Through hands on demonstrations and occasional one-on-one instruction, participants were able to put their new skills to the test.

The NRS Event Center hosts many world-class clinics throughout the year. One of the perks of attending our educational events is the caber of clinicians you get to learn from.

The Rope Like A Girl clinic was no exception to this rule. Lari Dee Guy is a seven time WPRA World Champion Header. She also holds many breakaway world titles. Guy has traveled across the world hosting roping clinics. Through this process, she has had the opportunity to work with thousands of students. Guy also has her own instructional video series, which can be purchased here.

Annette Stahl is another female roping force to be reckoned with. In 2017, she won the Inaugural Charlie 1 Horse All-Girl Challenge Champion Heeler during the Wrangler BFI Week in Reno.

Like Guy, Hope Thompson is also a WPRA World Champion Header. She has also earned many breakaway titles including College National Champion, LCRA Champion TSRA Champion, and Windy Ryon Champion.
