Cinch RSNC Ranch Sorting School & Competition – May 27-28

Cinch, the Ranch Sorting National Championship and NRS partnered on the first Texas camp/school and competition at the NRS Headquarters in Decatur on May 27-28, 2017. Over 100 people of all ages participated in the event.

The weekend was kicked off with schooling by Gary Wells on how to balance a horse’s musculoskeletal system to create  suppleness and relaxation. Thanks Kristi and Ted Williams ( 40 Something Cowgirls) for facilitating this demo. Dr. Ron Gill. BF Yeates, Pastor Todd Keller and family, Dave Wolfe, Morgan Moreno (and reps from the TAMU Stock Horse Team), Dr. Doug Householder Dean Allred gave excellent presentations. Thanks also Darla Keller, Dr. Jennifer Zoller , Chelsie Huseman, and Todd Vineyard also helped with the program. 45 people went through the school – all advancing their skills in training, working cattle, caring for performance horses and sorting class strategies.

60 teams competed in the Beginners Sorting Class. 8 Champion buckles were presented to the Top Open, Cowboy Church, 4- H and 40-Something Cowgirls Teams.  The next 2017 CRSNC camp/schools with competitions os scheduled for October 14 in Bryan, Texas, contact Pastor Todd Keller 979.777.8109, and December 9 in Jourdanton, Texas, contact Gary Micham 903.520.1218.
